An anchor for Ceramic Fiber is used to hold the refractory lining to the furnace surface. The anchor design is made for various types of ceramic fiber, either single-ply or multiple layers of ceramic fiber.
Consists of various types of an anchor as follows:
1. Anchor Cerafix
CERAFIX anchors are suitable for fastening ceramic fiber brackets, boards, and blocks, which are bolted using M6-size studs. Used when metal fasteners cannot be used.
2. Anchor Press ON type
Consists of metallic studs and clips. PRESS ON anchor system is used to bind several layers of ceramic fiber lining from steel shell/casing. Washers can be precisely positioned, and the Press On system prevents the hot parts of the washers from changing positions.
Used when the hot surface is a ceramic fiber blanket, steel sheet, rigid sheet in fiber, or other dense materials.
Advantages of the Press On system:
a. The washers and studs are bonded together to prevent the washer from moving.
b. Washers can be adjusted to the desired height (1 mm increments)
3. Anchor Fiberfix
FIBERFIX anchor system is used to bind several layers of ceramic fiber to the lining. Consists of a stud, clip and in some cases using ceramic cuplocks, mounting clips to hold the center of the lining.
4. Anchor Insultwist
The INSULTWIST anchor is used to secure multiple layers of ceramic fiber. It consists of 6.35 x 3.17mm studs, lockwashers (LWI), and in some cases cuplocks, and mounting clips (MTC) to secure the seams to the linings.
5. Ceramic Cuplock
Specifically used for Fibrefix.
