Stainless steel wool is a common media used by many automotive and motorcycle muffler manufacturers to absorb or alternate sound from gasoline engines . Beside the ability to absorb sound and Stainless Steel wool has the characteristics of resistant to acids and vibrations

The usage of Stainless steel wool:

  1. Exhaustion systems for combustion engines
  2. As an insulating material for temperature and sound which more effective than asbestos
  3. Filtering for certain gases and chemical materials
  4. As a coating and base material for glass making process.
  5. For cleaners metal surface when corrosion has to be avoided..

  • SUS316

C 0.08 % max, Si 1.00 % max, Mn 2.00 % max, P 0.045 % max, S 0.030 % max, Ni 10-14 %, Cr 16-18 %, Mo 2.00 - 3 .00 %.

50--80 um  (medium)
80--130 um (kasar) rough
100--180 um (kasar) rough
